Did You Guy's See That Fedor Fight?

Fedor has the cheery disposition of a serial killer.

Mylanta!!  That was the most devastating punch I have ever seen in my life - and I have thrown my fair share of them.  Are you guys into MMA do you think it could be one of the biggest sports in the America or is it just a fad that has held on for a while (remember how big poker was 4 years ago)?  Let us know in the comments about any other gnarly MMA knockouts that we should know about.

WIll MMA ever be as popular as "they" all say it will one day be?
No, never, it is much too violent and bloody to be wholly embraced by the general public.

Yeah - it is the most exciting fast paced type of entertainment I have ever seen.

Not so sure....

I think people’s sports allegiances take hold pretty early in life, often connected to sports kids play growing up…I think it’s an uphill battle, but if Dana Whit wants to succeed long term, he needs to get kids to put down their pogs and start beating the pokemon out of eachother.

Also, personalities are a problem…like boxing. You need a constant stream of compelling characters, unless you can form some teams with regional identities that can retain fans as fighters move on. I’d love to watch some NJ guidos go best of three against some blowhards from beantown.

"Polamalu’s lineage can be traced through several roots. Chuck Norris mated with an Amazon Queen, and on the other side, Tony Hawk mated with Mother Nature. The two children of these spawned and fused in a tantric love session to create Troy Polamalu. The mother however died as he tore through the birth canal with a spin move."

brain damage

Talk about brain damage! Are there any stats on concussions, brain damage, and other serious injuries invoked in this venue? I worry about the trend taking place with teens without supervision.
