Chris Henry - Rest In Peace

We at Project Franchise are saddened to learn of the death of Chris Henry, from everything we've heard he had been working hard in the last couple of years to make positive changes in his life.  Does anybody have the inside scoop on what actually happened - was he pushed out of the truck?  Did he jump or slip?  We all know this story is far from over, however or whatever happened we wish his family, friends and Bengal Nation the best at this tragic time.

This is a tough time in Bengal Nation

I am sure I speak for all Bengal fans when I say thank you for your condolences. Chris was kind of like our prodigal son. He really pissed us off at times but that made his efforts to right his ship all the more heart warming for us. He really was a good person trying to escape the effects of a culture of crime and violence in which he was steeped for so much of his life.

Mike Brown saw the goodness in him and took a lot of criticism for giving him another chance. I say to Mike Brown – thank you for not giving up on him. Our society and more specifically people on a position to help needs to give that kind of understanding more often. If it only succeeds once in a hundred times the effort is worth it. Chris is gone now but Mike Brown gave him the opportunity to live out the last portion of his life at least going in the right direction.

It’s really sad to see this happen to a guy who had been through so much and had completely turned his life around. Just saw a clip of a really emotional Ochocinco talking about him and you can tell how well liked a guy he was on that team. When things like this happen it is nice to see the outpouring of support and compassion for the Bengals.

agreed...

It was easy to see that he was well liked and must have truly been a good person at heart – and in reality should someone who’s been arrested for relatively minor transgressions be labeled as a bad person anyway?
