Bud Selig is a fool and most definitely not our buddy. The guy looks like he died 3 years ago, and we think his brain left his body well before then. The high profile, terrible calls by the umps have proved this post-season - highlighted by two more blown calls in last nights World Series game 2 - and lack of replay to fix them have just helped to show why basbeall is no longer America's favorite sport. Football has been using instant replay for years, and while we find the whole system of red challenge bean bags to be a bit antiquated and silly, we have no problem waiting a couple of minutes for the zebra to go under the hood and confirm if some guy had two feet in or not. Bud's argument against replay is that it slows down a game - has he ever watched a baseball game?!? They literally have a break in the peak of the action to stretch - thats something usually reserved for 16 our transcontinental airplane flights. The guy is a dated bafoon and its about time he retires back to the Crypt to let someone take charge who may actually embrace the digital future.
