NBA Dunk Contest

New, 1 comment

I started to think about this as I was reading an article on ESPN about Blake Griffin and a couple of others possibly in the field for the slam dunk contest.

"Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin will take part in the slam dunk contest during this year's NBA All-Star weekend, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Washington Wizards center JaVale McGee, Oklahoma City Thunder forward Serge Ibaka and Milwaukee Bucks guard Brandon Jennings also are in the field, according to the newspaper.

This season's All-Star festivities are being held at Staples Center. The slam dunk contest is slated for Saturday, Feb. 19."'

After the first look, I am actually pretty disappointed with this group, other than my man, Blake Griffin. Jennings is no good of a dunker and McGee is that kind of guy that just does a lot, but normal, two-handed dunks. I have no clue really who Ibaka is so I will leave those comments to the fans of Front Office Fans.

Like everyone who watches all-star weekend, I want James, Wade and Kobe to be with Griffin. But, that is not going to happen most likely.

I wouldn't mind seeing DeMar DeRozan of the Toronto Raptors in it, or my hometown Boston Celtic, Nate Robinson.

I know fans out in the NBA crowd would love to vote for the NBA Slam Dunk Contest contestants, and maybe that is what should happen. Admit it, the contest has gone down lately, so let's change it to fan voting.

As always, let's hear your opinion about who should be in it. Just involve Blake Griffin.
